Pelican 4x4 Hire

The beach highway to Rainbow Beach and Fraser Island starts just north of Noosa and has some spectacular scenery on the way with rolling surf, kilometers of unspoilt, sandy beaches, Carlo sand blow, Double Island Point and the Cherry Venture Shipwreck.

Pelican 4WD hires include maps, tide times, the latest beach conditions and personalised driving instructions. They also provide secure parking for your vehicle while you are on your Fraser Island 4WD hire adventure.

For a four wheel drive adventure you can't beat the Fraser Coast.

$1000 pre authorisation on a credit card

Insurance
Included in the rates in an insurance excess of $5000, but can be reduced from $5000 down to $1000 for an extra $30 per day for a Troop carrier and an extra $20 per day for a Suzuki or Daihatsu.

Camping Equipment
Camping equipment is available for hire and includes - tent, mattress, gas stove with plate, plates, utensils, pots and pans, ice box, water container, torch, fire lighters, ground sheet, axe, shovels, toilet paper,
folding chairs, table, gas light and sleeping bags. ($10 each dry cleaning charge).

Delivery
The vehicles can be picked up from the depot where cars can be safely left.

Vehicles can be deliverd free of charge to the Noosa, Noosaville or Tewantin areas.

Vehicles can be delivered to the Maroochy Airport for an extra $50 each way.

Permits
Vehicle permit is $35.40 and camping permit is $4.50 per person per night from Qld Parks & Wildlife office at Rainbow Beach or Tewantin.

Ferry Crossings
Noosa River $5.00 each way
Inskip Point to Fraser Island is $80.00 return (no bookings required)

Maps, tide times, latest beach conditions, driving instructions (personalized) and the free use of an esky is included in the hire.

Drivers need to be over 25 years of age and holder of a current drivers licence and do not need 4wd experience.
